Bonfiglioli in Australia & New Zealand
Bonfiglioli commenced operations in Australia in 1988, as a 50% joint venture business with a local partner, however in 1997 we became a 100% subsidiary of the Italian parent and moved our operation from Brisbane to a new location in Auburn Sydney.
By 2004 due to the high level of growth of the Bonfiglioli business, the Auburn premises were no longer able to meet demand, and so in 2005 a major investment was made in a new Head Office facility in Glendenning NSW, to support and further improve our response to customer requirements. The new facility is within easy access to the new M7 orbital motorway transport infrastructure in Western Sydney.
Stage 1 of the development now occupies a total of 3000 sq metres with special high level racking incorporated in the warehouse area to further enhance stock capacity. The new Australasian Head Office has been fully operational for some years now and is providing our Australian and New Zealand customers with a first class service.
The site purchased has a total size of 10,000 sq metres, and so in stage 2 of the design, a factory size of 5000 sq metres can eventually be accommodated.
Bonfiglioli is also present via branch offices in Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane & Auckland New Zealand, with local assembly occurring in all branches except Brisbane.
To complement our new Sydney facility, we have invested in 12 million dollars of stock of our most popular product components in order to better service our Australasian customers.
In 2009 we were proud to be one of only two remote branches appointed by our Italian Headquarters to assemble our new generation of Heavy Duty Bevel helical and Parallel shaft helical gearboxes. Since 2009 we have gradually increased our assembly capacity and are now assembling up to 600Kw drives on site.
