On September 25th, we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of our first German subsidiary. Our company’s record in Germany over the past 25 years can be truly called a success story. Today, a headquarters in Neuss, an electronic competence centre in Krefeld and a sales network of over 200 people stand united to ensure our continuing success on the German market.
Right after Clementino Bonfiglioli took the strategic decision to go international in 1982, Germany quickly became the focal point of interest. Our founder was convinced that whoever succeeds in Germany can do well everywhere else in the world too. Bonfiglioli entered the market by selling gearboxes, gearmotors and drives for mobile machines. Gearmotors for wind turbines were added later. Business grew continuously, as did the workforce. Vectron Elektronik in Krefeld was acquired in 2001, and today is at the heart of our design and production of variable frequency drives and photovoltaic inverters.
Today, Bonfiglioli operates worldwide and focuses on various areas. Our industrial business unit supplies an extensive product portfolio ranging from highly dynamic mechatronic systems to ultra-heavy duty gearboxes. Our mobile machinery business unit supplies leading manufacturers of construction machinery, cranes and agricultural machines, and pioneers advanced electro-mobility solutions too. In the field of wind generation we can engineer complete solutions for yaw and pitch control in wind turbines of all sizes, and boast a long-standing and consolidated leadership in the sector. Finally, in photovoltaics, we have supplied some of the world’s largest PV installations thanks to the advanced technical solutions developed in Germany.
For Bonfiglioli, the German market is extremely important in terms of business volume, and more so in terms of technology. That is why this 25th anniversary is a very special date for us.
Happy Anniversary, Bonfiglioli Deutschland!
