Bonfiglioli Photovoltaic supplied its inverters for a 100MW solar PV plant in Chile

Bonfiglioli RePvS, Bonfiglioli Group’s business unit dedicated to regenerative & photovoltaic solutions, has supplied its inverters RPS TL series on a 100MW solar plant in Chile, which is expected to be the largest solar photovoltaic power plant in Latin America. The plant is located in the Atacama Desert of Chile.

Bonfiglioli solutions for solar energy include power conversion systems from 3MW turnkey solutions down to 30 kW compact devices for medium-large commercial and utility-scale installations.

RPS TL and RPS TL-UL inverters series have a proven track record of reliable operation in worldwide deployment. These modular inverters offer unit ratings up to 1.5 Mwac and incorporate Master-Slave logic to help customers increase yields by optimizing conversion efficiency at any irradiation level. They also significantly reduce the risk of power loss due to fault conditions. Excellent grid management features ensure maximum compliance with worldwide grid codes.

Bonfiglioli’s global presence is supported by PV inverter manufacturing facilities on 4 continents and a strong focus on aligning its product offering with local needs and legislations.

Up to now, more than 2GW PV projects have been equipped with Bonfiglioli inverters worldwide and the project in Chile affirms the company’s presence in Latin America too: in 2008, Bonfiglioli supplied its solutions for the world’s largest photovoltaic field at the time (51 MW), in Spain. In 2010 Bonfiglioli supplied the inverters for one of Europe’s largest field (70 MW) in Italy and in 2013 a 170 MW PV field equipped with Bonfiglioli inverters came on line in California (US).
With nearly 30 years experience in power conversion, Bonfiglioli is a preferred supplier and partner for market leaders around the world.
