Sonia Bonfiglioli, Chairwoman of Bonfiglioli Riduttori will receive the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro (a knighthood for labour) in October during the ceremony to be held at the Quirinal Palace in the presence of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella.

This honour is given to those deemed representatives of entrepreneurship able to generate development in their companies as a concrete example of the industriousness, creativity and dynamism of Italian industry in the world. Sonia Bonfiglioli follows in the footsteps of her father, Clementino, who received the same honour in 2006. In these years, Sonia Bonfiglioli has led the Group to a position as one of the most important and significant global organisations in its product sector, first in Italy, third in Europe, among the up-and-coming leaders in South East Asia and in the USA.

Through 13 production plants and 21 offices worldwide, the Bonfiglioli brand has increasingly assumed an international dimension, generating a turnover of 654 million euros in 2014 and employing a staff of 3478. Research, innovation and focus on the market as a genuine driver for company activity are the elements that distinguish the Group, driven by Sonia, who sees the development of new ideas and strategies as her competitive success factor as an entrepreneur.

This desire to stay one step ahead of market demand and ability to interpret needs expressed with a great capacity to provide solutions make Bonfiglioli a company that worthily embodies a model of success. A model that can truly spread through inspiring future generations to accept challenges with awareness and faith in their means.
