Visit of the Bonfiglioli France Sales Team: two days of diving in the world of the Industrial Business Unit in Italy

On March 31st and April 1st, the Bonfiglioli France Sales Team visited the Industrial Business Unit plants in Italy.

In the French market, Bonfiglioli operates directly through its French branch, with 14 commercial people located across the nation and 10 sales engineers. The branch provides products not only in France but also in North Africa, Romania and Belgium, selling both directly and through its own distribution network.

Focus of the visit was the renewal of the establishments layout in Lean perspective. Our guests had the opportunity to see closely the activities and processes implemented to enhance the lean manufacturing orientation, which will improve efficiency and increase production.

After the welcome and the introduction of Ing. Sonia Bonfiglioli, CEO and Chairman of the Bonfiglioli Group, which outlined the future plans and the guidelines of the Group's business strategy, the word is passed to Ing. Guglielmo Iodice, General Manager of the Industrial Solutions Business Unit, who described the new organization of its business units, the industrial strategy and related changes to production processes.

The directors of the different plants of Lippo di Calderara, Calderara, Vignola and Tecnoingranaggi, in collaboration with the Sales Department, organized the visit of the production plants, during which they explained the new layout and the future development related to the Lean project.

Even in France it has been launched a Lean manufacturing project, which will mean a 100% assembly, in the French subsidiary, of the products sold in their markets.

The two-days visit ended with an interesting visit to the Ferrari museum and a pleasant evening, with live music, in the Cantina Bentivoglio, in the center of Bologna.

The occasion was good also to meet and know many colleagues of the headquarter. In a climate of cooperation and enthusiasm, we shared ideas and projects: the common objective is certainly to grow together on the French market, and not only.
